 After you shift from Windows to Linux, you may have some issues like not finding the correct software you used to have on Windows and also configuring you system the way you want. There are a lot of tools to do that on Linux. But as a newbie, it is normal that you won't know any of them.

Choosing the right Distro

Let's first know what is a Distro. There are a lot of distributions of Linux. We call the Distro. Each distro is a different operating system based on Linux. The first and biggest problem a newbie's faces is choosing a proper distro.   1. GNOME - If you want something different then this is the DE you wanna use. It is one of the most popular DE in the Linux system. It will give you a different test of Linux.
  2. KDE - KDE is very highly customizable and also features rich distro. This is also one of the most popular DE. This DE will give you a taste of Windows but in a very much better way. By using KDE you will understand the true power of Linux as a newbie.
  3. Pantheon - Not very popular but if you are looking for something simple and very easy to navigate and also something similar to MAC, then this is what you should choose.
  4. Deepin - This DE comes with Deepin OS, which is avoided by most of the Linux users. But this DE is very beautiful and unique than all other distros.
